Cilcain Women's Institute
Originally we were part of the Denbigh & Flint Federation, but in 1933 a separation was agreed and the Clwyd-Flint Federation of Women’s Institutes was formed. Clwyd-Flint's oldest Institute, Nannerch, was formed in 1921 and the latest Institute, Dyserth, in 2001 – 80 years difference!
The ideals of the Women's Institute are as strong and important now in the 21st century as they were at the birth of the WI in 1915. The WI exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.
Cilcain Women's Institute meet at Cilcain Village Hall on the second Monday of each month when guest speakers keep attendees entertained. Why not join us? We provide friendship, good companionship and social activities.
We look forward to welcoming you . Contact Rosemary Westwood, President, for further information, Tel. 741755. To find out what is going on at our meetings, see the Events page.
