Cilcain Village Shop
Judy Rogers has run the village shop since August 1989. Perhaps the shop’s biggest line is newspapers and magazines, but she also stocks a range of foodstuffs including locally made fresh bread, pies pastries, free range eggs and milk. It's always worth popping in to see Judy if there is something you want between major shopping expeditions! But it doesn’t stop there. Judy sells a range of specialty items such as Cilcain produced Honey and Beeswax products, stained glass, hand made greeting cards, garden statues and
figurines, and a selection of plants to brighten up your garden or home.
Interested in walking? Judy has a range of books to guide you on many of the picturesque walks in this area.
Finally, if you need dry cleaning or shoe repairs, forget carting your clothes across town from car park to cleaner. Judy is an agent for Star County Cleaners. Simply leave your clothes (or shoes) with Judy at your village shop!

Monday – Friday 7.30 am to 1.00pm. Monday – Friday (except Wednesday) 2.30pm to 5.30pm. (Closed half day Wednesday). Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am – 1.00pm

Cilcain Community Post Office
Mike Garner runs the Community Post Office, which is located within the village shop. Opening hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm. As well as the usual postal services you can use this facility to carry out your banking, including withdraw of cash (free of charge with bank issued cash cards from: Alliance & Leicester, Barclays & Lloyds TSB), paying bills, obtaining foreign currency, collecting pensions etc. It is intended to expand the services offered to include mobile phone top ups, loans and even mortgages in the near future.
Mail collections from the post office are Monday – Friday: Collection 3.45pm. Saturday: 10.00am and Sunday: 11.15am.
